If you’re like us, and you work in the hospitality industry, you often find yourself on the road at the many hospitality conferences and events around America.

To know hotels, you need to stay in hotels. The team at Front Desk Supply stays in a lot of hotels, and it helps us serve our clients well. We also like hospitality conferences, trade shows, and events because we get to see many of our industry friends. In the hospitality industry, there’s a lot of movement.  We’ve seen friends and customers regularly relocate to new properties in search of new opportunities.

One place where many of us get to reconnect and strategize for the upcoming year is at hospitality conferences.

We don’t need to tell you that the Labor Day holiday somewhat closes the summer season.  This presents front desk managers, hotel managers, and hospitality experts with a good several weeks to refresh their business and address their needs before the busy holiday travel season kicks in mid-November.

September is a busy time for us. We talk with a lot of our customers about key cards, key card sleeves, signage, valet tags, and the little, but important things like hotel stationery and pens.

At these conferences, our customers get an idea of the wide variety of custom options available to them for key cards, key card holders, signage, and valet tags. We also showcase how we can help them create a cohesive brand across their custom designed items. Many hotels focus on their keys and key folders, but fall short on the opportunity to boost their brand with pens and notepads.

To help you add that extra touch, we are offering a pen special. Take off $45 on any new order.  If you’ve never ordered we can even help design your supplies!  Ask us how here!

So where will all of the hotel decision-makers be in September?  The two major events are IMEX America and The Lodging Conference. Here’s a breakdown of both events:

IMEX America

When and where is it being held?

The IMEX America Showwill be held this year at the Sand Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas from September 10ththrough the 12th.

Who goes to IMEX America?

This is a great place for the entire hospitality industry, beyond hotels, to gather and talk about all things in the meeting, tourism, and event space.  The event boasts more than 13,000 people attending from exhibitors to decision-makers.

What happens at IMEX America?

Lots and lots of meetings.  Statistics from last year’sevent reveal a final tally of more than 70,000 face-to-face discussions.   This is a great event to talk with knowledgeable people who can help your business grow. Here is a rundown of the education, events, and speakers at the conference.

Why Front Desk Supply Likes IMEX America

If you like to network, you’re in the right place.  With thousands of attendees and a jammed-packed calendar, this conference is the perfect event to talk with new prospects and visit current clients.  This is also a great place if you do business with a wide range of hospitality professionals beyond the hotel business.   You can’t go wrong attending IMEX America.

The Lodging Conference

When and where is it being held?

The 25thannual Lodging Conference will be held this year at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix from September 23rdthrough the 26th.

Who goes to The Lodging Conference?

This event is more intimate but still features a robust roster of hotel professionals that reaches nearly 2,000.  Beyond suppliers, like Front Desk Supply, The Lodging Conference features the hotel industry’s most influential owners, operators, presidents, and CEOs.

What happens at The Lodging Conference?

Because the attendees represent more than 60,000 hotels, there is a great opportunity to exchange success stories and solve struggles that your particular property is facing. Whether you participate in the many Think Tank eventsor you book a one-on-one Deal Connect, you will have meaningful conversations that can lead to more efficiency for your hotel.

Why Front Desk Supply Likes The Lodging Conference?

Let us repeat that number again – 60,000 hotels! There are a lot of high-level hospitality executives exchanging ideas.  This can lead in higher revenues and lower operating costs.  Executives can discuss everything from systems to supplies.  Here’s one last reason why we love it – it’s casual!  Leave the suits and ties at home, and come relaxed and ready to mingle with other relaxed hotel managers and operators who are focused on improving their product, but don’t need business attire to broker deals!

What if I can’t attend either event?

No problem. You don’t have to attend IMEX America or the Lodging Conference to be a part of the discussion.  Both events have hashtags that you can follow on social media to interact with attendees and learn what’s happening in some of the educational and discussion sessions.  To follow along to The Lodging Conference online, check out the hashtag #LodgingConference on Twitterand Instagram.   You can also follow along on those two channels to keep tabs on what’s happening at IMEX America by using the hashtag #IMEXAmerica.

We love both of these events.  No matter how busy we are or how many people we have great conversations with, we still don’t get to everyone.  Are you going and want to hear about our capabilities for some of your most important hotel supplies?  We’d be glad to talk with you about our diverse array of products like RFID and Magnetic Strip Key Cards, Key Card Sleeves, Front Desk Signage, Marketing Materials, Valet Tags, and hotel stationery like hotel pens and paper.

And this reminder, we are having a September special on hotel pens with $45 off all new pen orders.  We offer many different styles of hotel pens – all shapes and sizes – and we can work with you from the design and logo on the pen to the many varieties of ink that will satisfy your guests.

Think hotel pens aren’t important to your guests?   Take a look at our recent article and what your guests are saying about their love of hotel pens! Check out our pen page and be sure to mention the $45 discount on your new pen order.  Prefer to talk to us right now?   Give us a call at 1-888-859-2061, email us at [email protected], or fill in the contact form below.
